A study on what creates stress and work pressure for civil servants working at ministries.

Policy pressure

On behalf of the Ministry of the Interior, Mark van Twist and I conducted a study on the mechanisms that produce policy pressure, creating stress for civil servants working in ministries. We concluded that their work pressure is mostly due to political plans and ambitions, media attention, the heterogeneity of external relations, the need to be accountable and office politics.
